PLANNED TOURISM ESTABLISHMENT

The main concept of the establishment which is currently named as the 'Temlos Touristic Complex Project' is composed in such a way that it takes the natural environment into consideration and lets it influence the horizontal lines of nature. The main concentration is to enable the user to benefit from the natural resources readily available on the site and in the close proximity.

The natural position of the site enables easy access to it from the town centre of Kyrenia as well as all other locations. Despite its closeness to all facilities, it is far enough from any local congestion and therefore sits in a tranquil environment promoting a relaxing surrounding. One of the main advantages taken into consideration during the design process has been to position the hotel building, bungalows and all other facilities like restaurants and bars in such a way that they can all benefit from both sea and mountain views from any point. Another point of reference during the design process has been to highlight the presence of natural spring water in the area.

The thought process followed during the design stage of this project paid particular attention to maintain a distinction between the private and the public spaces. Therefore it would be possible for the user to experience both individuality and group environment at any given time. In order to make this possible, there are two main areas; hotel accommodation and bungalows with their respective facilities. Division between the units has been accomplished with the positioning of the watering features and the pools. Users will be drawn to the pool facilities in various ways as each level of the pools will offer different experience through a myriad of themes.

Design process has been enhanced by particular attention given to the usage of local and traditional materials to encourage sustainable development. This will be accomplished by using locally produced material through a contemporary interpretation.

The complex will be developed in such a way that it would be capable of meeting the needs of all types of visitors whether on leisure or business. Alternative entertainment and sport activities will be offered besides many other facilities that will enable the complex clientele not to feel the need to leave complex premises in any 24 hours. Visitors to the complex will be able not only to relax and do business but also improve their skills during their stay.
